Coaching Staff

JAYDON McCULLOUGH
Head Football Coach/Athletic Coordinator

In his third year as head coach, McCullough was formerly the offensive coordinator at Plano during a 18-year coaching career. He is a 27-year coaching veteran with nine years of experience before coming to Plano. The Dallas Baptist University graduate played football and graduated from Plano. His brother, Joey, is a coach at Plano West.

McCullough began his tenure at Plano in 1992 and was a member of the 1994 state champion coaching staff and of the 1993 state finalists. He was the offensive coordinator for the school’s eighth regular season unbeaten squad in 2005 and the state semifinalists in 2007.

McCullough was named the successor to Gerald Brence in 2008 and led Plano to a 10-2 record. He coached Plano to a 5-7 record in 2009 and extended the team’s playoff streak to three straight seasons. He holds a 15-9 record as the head coach at Plano.

McCullough ranks 10th on the all-time career wins list at Plano and could move past Carter E. “Red” Massey to ninth on the list  as early as Sept. 9 at Mansfield Legacy. He could log his 20th career win Oct. 1 against Hebron at Kimbrough Stadium.

LINN DICKEY
Offensive Coordinator/Offensive Line

In his 10th year coaching at Plano and 12th overall in the Plano ISD. Dickey is in his third season as the offensive coordinator. He is a Plano East graduate and graduated from the University of Oklahoma. He teaches physical education at Harrington Elementary. In his first season as offensive coordinator, the team saw three seniors finish with all-time career offensive numbers and just one regular season loss.

CLINT STEWART
Defensive Coordinator/Linebackers

Stewart, an Odessa Permian graduate, is in his fifth season as defensive coordinator at Plano. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University and in his 11th year coaching at Plano and 13th year in the Plano ISD. He coaches physical education at Carlisle Elementary. His defense in 2007 was rated among the best in the state.

TANNER CRAVEN
Quarterbacks/Head JV Coach

In his fourth season at Plano and his his fifth season overall in the Plano ISD. Craven graduated from Amarillo Caprock High and has a degree in history from Midwestern State University. Craven teaches physical education at Shepard Elementary School. In 2008, Carson Meger set the Plano all-time passing record under Craven. He also led the junior varsity to a district title in 2009.

JIM DAILEY
Volunteer Assistant

A longtime Plano ISD assistant coach, Dailey enters his second season as a volunteer assistant coach at Plano. He will coach linebackers. Among the players he has coached in the Plano ISD are three active NFL players.

CHRIS FISHER
Defensive Backs

Entering his fifth year at Plano, Fisher is in his 10th season with the Plano ISD. A graduate of Amarillo Palo Duro, Fisher has a finance degree from Midwestern State. He coaches physical education at Wyatt Elementary.

CHAD GREEN
Recruiting Coordinator

In his first year coaching at Plano, Green will coach the quick side of the offensive line and tight ends in 2010. He coached at Vines High School last season. Green is a graduate of the University of North Texas.

KEVIN MAY
Defensive Ends/JV Defensive Coordinator

In his seventh year coaching in the Plano ISD, May enters his third season with the Plano Wildcats. He is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin University. May teaches math and physical education at Plano Senior High School.

MARCUS RICHARDSON
Receivers/JV Offensive coach

In his fourth season with the Wildcats, Marcus Richardson previously coached at Nicholls State University, where he graduated from college. Richardson teaches physical education at Plano Senior High. Kris Lott became Plano’s all-time leader in receiving yards and receptions under Richardson.

JOEY STONE
Runningbacks/Cornerbacks/JV Defensive coach

In his eighth year coaching, Stone enters his sixth season at Plano. Of Claremore (Okla.) Sequoyah High, Stone is a graduate of Southwestern Oklahoma. He coaches physical education at Rasor Elementary. Rex Burkhead became Plano’s all-time leading rusher under Stone.

STEVE THOMAS
Special Teams/Defensive Tackles

In his 29th year at Plano and 44th year overall coaching. Thomas graduated from William Jewell College and earned a Master’s from Eastern Illinois University. He teaches physical education at Beverly Elementary. In the past five seasons, he has coached three players to Division I scholarships.

JOAN MOULTON
Trainer

A Wayne State University graduate, Moulton coordinates athletic training activities for morning football practices and for freshman and sophomore football games.

CHRIS REYNOLDS
Trainer

In his 15th season at Plano, Reynolds works full-time at Plano as one of two campus trainers. He graduated from Artesia (N.M.) High and McMurry University in Abilene.
