Coaching Staff

JAYDON McCULLOUGH
Head Football Coach/Athletic Coordinator

In his fourth year as head coach, McCullough was formerly the offensive coordinator at Plano during a 18-year coaching career. He is a 28-year coaching veteran with nine years of experience before coming to Plano. The Dallas Baptist University graduate played football and graduated from Plano. His brother, Joey, is a coach at Plano West.

McCullough began his tenure at Plano in 1992 and was a member of the 1994 state champion coaching staff and of the 1993 state finalists. He was the offensive coordinator for the school’s eighth regular season unbeaten squad in 2005 and the state semifinalists in 2007.

McCullough was named the successor to Gerald Brence in 2008 and led Plano to a 10-2 record. He coached Plano to a 5-8 record in 2009 and 7-4 in 2010, extended the team’s playoff streak to four straight seasons. He holds a 22-14 record as the head coach at Plano. He added coaching linebackers to his responsibilities for the 2011 season.

McCullough ranks 9th on the all-time career wins list at Plano, just ahead of Carter E. “Red” Massey. (8/11)

LINN DICKEY
Offensive Coordinator/Offensive Line

In his 12th year coaching at Plano and 13th overall in the Plano ISD. Dickey is in his fourth season as the offensive coordinator. He is a Plano East graduate and graduated from the University of Oklahoma. He teaches physical education at Harrington Elementary. In his first season as offensive coordinator, the team saw three seniors finish with all-time career offensive numbers and just one regular season loss. (8/11)

TANNER CRAVEN
Quarterbacks Coach

In his fifth season at Plano and his his sixth season overall in the Plano ISD. Craven graduated from Amarillo Caprock High and has a degree in history from Midwestern State University. Craven teaches physical education at Shepard Elementary School. In 2008, Carson Meger set the Plano all-time passing record under Craven. As prior JV Head Coach he also led the junior varsity to a district title in 2009. (8/11)

CHRIS FISHER
Defensive Coordinator


Fisher is in his 11th season with the Plano ISD, entering his sixth year at Plano and his first as defensive coordinator, succeeding Clint Stewart at the end of the 2010-2011 academic year. A graduate of Amarillo Palo Duro, Fisher has a finance degree from Midwestern State. He coaches physical education at Wyatt Elementary. (8/11)

CHAD GREEN
Offensive Line/Recruiting Coordinator

In his second year coaching at Plano, Green will coach the offensive line, both varsity and JV. Green is also the college recruiting coordinator. He is a graduate of the University of North Texas. (8/11)

KEVIN MAY
Defensive Ends/JV Defensive Coordinator

In his eighth year coaching in the Plano ISD, May enters his fourth season with the Plano Wildcats. He is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin University. May teaches math and physical education at Plano Senior High School. (8/11)

SHANON PURCELL
Safeties/Defensive Backs/JV

This is Purcell’s first year in the Plano ISD and with the Plano Wildcats. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University and earned a graduate degree from the University of North Texas. Purcell teaches at Vines High School. Purcell comes to Plano with significant high school football coaching experience. (8/11)

MARCUS RICHARDSON
JV Head Coach/Cornerbacks


In his fifth season with the Wildcats , Marcus Richardson previously coached at Nicholls State University, where he graduated from college. Previously a receivers coach, this is his first year as JV Head Coach. Richardson teaches physical education at Plano Senior High. (8/11)

JOEY STONE
Receivers/Off-Season Program Coordinator

In his ninth year coaching, Stone enters his seventh season at Plano. Of Claremore (Okla.) Sequoyah High, Stone is a graduate of Southwestern Oklahoma. He coaches physical education at Rasor Elementary. Rex Burkhead became Plano’s all-time leading rusher under Stone as Running Backs coach. (8/11)

STEVE THOMAS
Asst. Head Coach/Special Teams/Defensive Tackles

In his 30th year at Plano and 45th year overall coaching. Thomas graduated from William Jewell College and earned a Master’s from Eastern Illinois University. He teaches physical education at Beverly Elementary. In the past six seasons, he has coached three players to Division I scholarships. (8/11)

JOAN MOULTON
Trainer

A Wayne State University graduate, Moulton coordinates athletic training activities for morning football practices and for freshman and sophomore football games. (8/11)

CHRIS REYNOLDS
Trainer

In his 16th season at Plano, Reynolds works full-time at Plano as one of two campus trainers. He graduated from Artesia (N.M.) High and McMurry University in Abilene. (8/11)
