Collin Brence, #38 BaylorCollin is playing his second year for Baylor, having played in all 13 games of Baylor’s 2011 season and post-season.  Baylor is hosting Sam Houston State this Saturday at 6:00 p.m., which will be televised on FOX College Sports.

Rex Burkhead, #22 Nebraska - Rex has racked up an impressive record of superlative play in his first three years at Nebraska, and looks to rack up even more this year as a true senior.  Nebraska will head west to play UCLA this Saturday at 6:30 p.m.  The game will be televised on FOX (HD).

Blair Burns, #20 Wyoming - Playing as a true freshman last year, Blair will be a starting cornerback for the Wyoming Cowboys this year, and is credited with 8 tackles against Texas in the season opener.

Blake McJunkin, #63 SMU - Blake is in his final year of play at SMU after an injury sidelined him early last season in what otherwise would have been his last year on the field for the Mustangs.   Blake is the older (dare we say “big”?) brother of current Wildcats football player Burt McJunkin.  The Mustangs will be hosting Stephen F. Austin this Saturday at 7:00 p.m., and the game will be televised on Time Warner Cable.

Carson Meger, #13 UTEP - Carson enters his third year of eligibility this season and has already seen playing time at the QB position, passing and rushing in last week’s season opener.  UTEP will play Ole Miss this Saturday at 6:00 p.m.  The game will be televised on FS South/ESPN-GP/espn3.

Kevin Merrill, #19 Wayland Baptist - Kevin joins fellow Plano grad Stephen Collins on the team.

Alumni Teams On TV Thanksgiving Weekend 2011

As the 2011 college football regular season winds down, there are plenty of choices for Wildcats fans who want to watch a college team on TV with a Plano Wildcat on the roster.

The Iowa at Nebraska (Rex Burkhead, Murat Kuzu) game is already in the second half today on ABC, and Nebraska leads.  Rex is having a great game!  I think I saw Rick & Robyn in the stands – they were the ones wearing red.

At 6:00 p.m. today you can watch UTEP (Carson Meger) at UCF on CBSSN.

On Saturday, Nov. 26  you have even more games to choose from:

At 11:00 a.m. you can watch Iowa State (Chris Moore) at Oklahoma on FX, or Rice at SMU (Blake McJunkin) on FSN Affiiates.

At 1:00 p.m. you can watch Wyoming (Blair Burns) at Boise State on ESPN-GP.

At 6:00 p.m. you can watch Baylor (Collin Brence) at Texas Tech on FSN Affiliates, or jump in the car and drive to Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, TX to see the game in person.

And, at 9:00 p.m. you can watch San Diego State at UNLV (Beau Brence) on MTN.

Next week we’ll recap all regular season college stats for the playing alumni.
