1990s

Highlights: The Wildcats compiled an 88-35-1 record during the 1990s, playing in two state title games and earning their seventh and most recent state championship in 1994. The team compiled a 16-8 playoff record during the decade, qualifying for the postseason in 9 of 10 seasons. Plano compiled a 29-5-1 district record across the first five seasons of the decade. The 90s also saw the arrival of Allen to Plano’s district schedule in 1998. Lake Highlands proved to be a fierce nemesis during the 90s, as the teams split 10 meetings and three times Lake Highlands wins prevented Plano from posting perfect district records. Plano missed the playoffs for the only time during the decade in 1997, ending a 7-year stretch of qualifying for the postseason.
