1980s

Highlights: The Wildcats compiled a 109-16-3 record during the 1980s, earning two state titles, a national title and a school record with a 29-game winning streak from 1986-1988. Plano also had a 38-game regular season unbeaten streak from 1981 to 1985. The Wildcats averaged almost 11 wins per season during the decade and won 87 percent of the games they played. Plano made seven playoff appearances, posting a 23-5 postseason record during the decade. Highland Park twice ended Plano’s season in the playoffs during this decade.
