Orlando, Florida hosts the 2012 Capital One Bowl and Plano football alumni Rex Burkhead and Murat Kuzu will be there with their team, the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
Nebraska (9-3) will be playing the South Carolina Gamecocks (10-2). South Carolina is favored by 2.
Kuzu, a freshman walk-on, is redshirted this year.
Burkhead ended the regular season playing as a true junior in 12 games with net 1268 yards rushing for 15 TD’s, 142 yards receiving for 2 TD’s, 19 yards in punt returns, 3 solo tackles and 1 fumble recovered. He is starting I-back for the Huskers for this bowl game.
The game will be televised on ESPN, with kickoff at noon.
The last Plano Wildcat on the sideline at the Capital One Bowl was Arkansas walk-on reshirted freshman Aaron Fenton (Plano ’06), at the January 2007 game.
