Halfway through the 2011 season, the Wildcats JV team is undefeated, thanks to a 37-22 win over Hebron JV on September 29.
Plano scored first with 5:43 left in the 1st quarter, and a fumble recovery fifteen seconds later by sophomore #4 Billy Pearson denied Hebron momentum in the first quarter. Seconds into the 2nd quarter #95 John Cummings kicked a field goal and Plano was up 9-0.
Hebron pulled within two points with 6:16 remaining in the second quarter, but Plano’s special teams responded with a touchdown scored by junior #34 Andre Morman returning the Hebron kick-off with 6:16 left in the half. We happened to capture video of that return:
The teams went to halftime with Plano up 16-14. Hebron would never be that close again, as Plano added 14 unanswered points in the 3rd quarter, and another 7 points in the 4th quarter to Hebron’s 8 points. As Coach Richardson points out in his post-game interview, the win over Hebron’s JV was something special.

Rushing: #29 Dearion Johnson 14 carries for 102 yards and 2 TD’s, #27 Grant 7 for 26 yards, #24 Hutzler 5 for 10 yards, #11 Carpenter 1 for 9 yards, #46 Jamal Crayton 1 for 8 yards, and #22 Robertson 2 for 5 yards . . . #95 Cummings had 1 FG and 4 PAT’s, punting 4 times for a 42.5 yard average . . . #34 Morman’s KO return for TD looked like it was for 80 yards.

Odds & Ends- Plano had 12 first downs . . . 160 yards rushing, 107 passing . . . was penalized 6 times for 50 yards.
