Carlos Cuevas, a 2007 graduate of Plano, has signed as a transfer to Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, Okla.

Carlos Cuevas, right, has signed with Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Also shown is his former coach and current Plano ISD athletics director Gerald Brence.
The three-year starter was a team captain in 2006 and played strong tackle on the 2005 team that rose to No. 4 in the MaxPreps.com national poll and remains the last Plano team to post a perfect regular-season record.
He signed with Utah State as a senior and played two seasons for the Aggies before transferring. He is majoring in education.
Cuevas played under Gerald Brence and was coached on the offensive line by current head coach Jaydon McCullough. He was ranked the 93rd overall area prospect by Rivals.com as a senior. He was a unanimous first-team all-district, all-county and all-area selection, and was an all-state selection. As a senior, he posted 85 pancake blocks.
His parents are Carlos and Griselda Cuevas, former quarterback club captains.
