Tight end Ashton Williams will join free safety Brandon McCalister and offensive tackle Kyle Hammond in Plano’s national signing class Wednesday, Plano football coach Jaydon McCullough announced Tuesday.
Williams has chosen Abilene Christian University, giving Plano a pair of offensive players who will make decisions. Hammond will sign with Drake University. On defense, McCalister will sign with West Texas A&M.
Athletes in football, in addition to cross country, field hockey, soccer, track and field and men’s water polo, are eligible to sign national letters of intent beginning Wednesday. The regular football signing period closes April 1.
Goalie to sign
Soccer goalie Sean Cote is expected to sign with George Mason, expanding the Wildcats’ athletic signing class.
